Splendour ~ 08

13Aug08

A few weeks ago i was lucky enough to be asked to paint at Splendour in the Grass festival at Byron Bay along side my homies Meks and Tues as part of an Ironlak promotion. I didnt really know what to expect apart from a shit load of party people and as the day got older the crowd grew bigger and rowdier so we hooked in and banged out some quik funk. Overall the weekend was dope, the weather was perfect, caught up with a few old mates i hadnt seen in a while which i was really stoked about whilst plenty of drinking and carrying on. I also caught Lyrics Born again who are killer live if you havnt seen them yet. I will definently being trying to attend next year. Thanks Dymsy for the hookup with the flicks.

While up home i popped in to see A very good friend of mine Pete who wanted a quick little something something done at his new Timber/ woodwork shed. While i was there i snapped a couple of shots of his new 08 Night train Harley which is the baddest machine on 2 wheels ive seen in a long time. I want one of these before i die.

On the weekend I travelled home to North Queensland for the opening of my main homie Smizlers’ showing of his 2nd solo show titled “Tales from the underground”. The night was a success, a good turnout of support, cold beer, plenty of bourbon, beautiful women and a few red spots on the walls. A big congratulations to you Smiz on a killer show. Here are some flics from the night….

KILLA KOMBO

09Aug08

At the end of last year I travelled to Melbourne to do my Killakombo with good friend Trem from the almighty Lyrical Commission, apart from a bit of light rain drizzle and a tight time frame to bust it out in im pretty happy with the overall outcome of both the painting and the clip.

You can peep the clip on the front of my site, A big thanks to Trem for the dope track, Van houtts for the editing and to my homie Vans for the flicks.
